TL;DR: Fill Spray Mop Bottle with Universal Cleaner, never dilute, press on a Mop Pad, and pull the trigger to spray as you mop. One trigger pull covers around 1 sqm. Use the light green Deep Clean Pad for deeper cleans and the dark green Everyday Pad for daily cleans. Plain cold water works too, but only for oiled or waxed timber floors.
How do I use Spray Mop step by step?
✓ Four steps
Fill the bottle. Add Universal Cleaner (never dilute) and replace the cap securely.
Connect the bottle. Slot the bottle into the holster on the Spray Mop Bottom until it locks into place.
Attach a Mop Pad. Place a pad on the floor, white side facing up, and apply the Spray Mop Plate onto the pad. Light green for deeper cleans, dark green for everyday.
Spray and mop. Pull the trigger once to release spray from the nozzle just below the bottle, then slowly push the mop head back and forth over around 1 sqm. For heavier soiled floors, repeat. The floor should be virtually dry when finished. Move to the next section and repeat.
✓ Tip: use the Dusting Mop Pad (not included) or a dustpan or vacuum to clear loose dust, hair and debris first.
Which Mop Pad should I use?
Deep Clean Mop Pads (light green)
Performance weave designed for deeper cleans. Some floor types may need more effort due to resistance between this pad and the floor. If that becomes untenable, switch to Everyday Mop Pads (dark green) for that floor type.
Everyday Mop Pads (dark green)
Lighter weave for daily light cleans, kitchen tile maintenance and high-traffic areas that need frequent cleaning.
A dry pass before wet mopping. Lifts loose dust, hair and debris so the wet pads last longer between washes.
✓ Pad care
All Koh mop pads are machine washable on a 40 degree cycle or cooler. No tumble dry. Use the Scrubby Tool (attached to the Spray Mop pole) to comb off hair before washing. Rotate pads regularly. A clean dry pad performs more effectively than a soiled wet one. Keep a few clean spares on hand for back-to-back rooms. Spare pads available here.
How do I avoid streaks on the floor?
✓ Less is more
Aim for one trigger pull per 1 sqm. Rotate to a fresh dry pad once wet or soiled.
Mop hard to push?
The light green Deep Clean Pad may create increased friction on certain floors. Switch to the dark green Everyday Pad for easier movement on those surfaces.
What can I fill the bottle with?
✓ Good to fill with
Universal Cleaner (never dilute), or plain cold water for oiled or waxed timber floors.
⚠ Do not add
Citrus-based essential oils (they can degrade Spray Mop components over time) or other detergent cleaning products. Doing so will void your warranty.
